Good to see the endorsements on there.
It isn't pink! It's sort of peach-ish!

You should have received a registration document with owners/breeders details & full registered names of your dog & both parents, as well as the pedigree.

That's normally put there by good breeders who don't want their pups bred from either too young, without health testa or if they're not good examples of the breed, and the 'not for export' is so that the pup doesn't then get sent to a country without animal welfare laws similar to our own.

From what i can make out in smaller words on memphis cert
is if at anytime i was to stud him it must be with reg b1tch or lineing can not be used on pedegree
thought you couldnt reg a litter from un reg dam anyway
or does that mean memphis loose his right to use his linage in fouther litters im baffled now lol

Well this is the registration document for transfer of ownership (it's actually a leaflet like an A3 folded in half and this is just part of it) + 5 generation pedigree plus a copy of the puppy register for that period I just paid for everything at the top price (I think £39.00)

Re: Just received Tommy's KC doc back
Back to my first question what do these letters mean after the dogs name , in dog order, AP2, AH1 and AJ3
Guest- Guest
Re: Just received Tommy's KC doc back
The letters & numbers after the name refer to the issue of the Breed Record Supplement that the registration appears in.

What's Maisie's Kennel club name Ian ?? Did you go on Stamtavler from the link I gave you on FB , all you have to do is add another one as I've done all the hard work for you, hurry up and do it as Tommy looks like an orphan
http://www.stamtavler.com/dogarchive/details.php?id=137401
You need to create an account go here , then select "update" and you then have the option to clone.
Either that or post the kennel name here and I will put it on for you

Your way too clever for this Caryll, so this will be the other document that I have bought , just not received it yet

You paid the 'premium' price? If so, then yes, you'll get the Bredd Record Supplement. Be prepared to wait, though. They're quaterly, and Tommy might not be in the one about to be published. You could wait up to 4 months for it!

We have time , it's nice to have all the keepsakes , we've kept all Tilly's stuff from when she was ickle, her little teething blanket , first collar and lead. Her first harness we are hoping will fit Tommy when he's old enough to go out and the matching collar

Re: Just received Tommy's KC doc back
Sorry, but I was under the impression that these numbers related to genetic information such as Hips Displasea test results??? If not then I misunderstoodCaryll wrote:The letters & numbers after the name refer to the issue of the Breed Record Supplement that the registration appears in.

No, the health test results are firther down & give the condition the test was for & the result. The letters/number directly after the registered name (in brackets) refers the to Breed Record Supplement.

Re: Just received Tommy's KC doc back
Sorry to go a bit off-topic but what are people's take on endorsements? I think I would feel a bit mean putting them on there but understand that it makes sense. Would people buy a puppy with endorsements? I'm umming and ahhing about applying them to any of my pups when they are born.

Re: Just received Tommy's KC doc back
I would always put endorsements on a pedigree with the written proviso to the new owner that they can be removed if certain conditions are met.
Most (if not all) of the top show breeders do this now.

Re: Just received Tommy's KC doc back
to tell the truth i didnt know there was endorsments on my reg as only found document due to this tread .
iv got an endorsment about mating with non kc dam and losing protangy
so i dont see the point of adding if not making clear at sale of pups
but on a whole good idea then you can give a few ground rules so your making sure an pups are given the best chance of a great life
PS caryll
would i be right in saying you could have an endorsment to say you would require the dog back if situation changes(rather than being put in shelter)or sold on

No, the endorsements are only for official KC things like breeding & export. You can, however, get a written & legal contract that the new owners have to sign stating that the dog must not be sold on or given away & that the breeder has the right to take the dog back.

I have such a contract , it states that the dog must go back to them for rehoming and they will refund me anything appropriate, the dog must under no circumstances be handed over to a shelter.
I know legally it doesn't actually mean much but from a point of morales and responsibility it is worth its weight in gold

Re: Just received Tommy's KC doc back
It also means that if, for any reason, you get into difficulties you know you have somebody to turn to & you don't have to foist the dog off on the first person to answer an ad!
Guest- Guest
Re: Just received Tommy's KC doc back
Obviously I will be making all new owners sign a contract to the effect of the above and many more considerations. And legally it does mean something, if the new owners were to rehome the dog apart from back to me I could take them to court and most probably get a court order to seize the dog from the rehomed owner. Although I like to think I wouldn't sell the pups to anyone that would try and pull a fast one, you can't always be the best judge of character and these things could happen. It was more the breeding endorsement I was querying, although I guess as you say Caryll I could always apply these endorsements and write into the contract that if certain conditions ar emet these may be eligable to be l
ifted.
ifted.

Re: Just received Tommy's KC doc back
I can get these lifted as long as I meet the conditions (2 years old before breeding and also the health tests) but we won't be breeding so I won't even bother
