Brave dog needed

So much for the fearless killing machines reputation these dogs have got, I just walked into my living room and there was Polly and Charlie huddled up shaking on the sofa in the conservatory with a huge male pheasant stalking around them
They'll chase the birds in the garden but it seems that they won't chase "guests" in the house

I had the same thing, we live right near a town centre and there are tons of pigeons. I was on holiday in Greece and my OH was sleeping in the front room and redecorating out bedroom. Needless to say he woke up to a big fat pigeon sat on the kitchen side staring at him! It must have squeezed through the window. The girls were just sat there looking at it!

Pheasant do make a strange sound, did the dogs let it out again though. Some dogs will let anyone in their home but not necessarily out again

The pair of cowardly hounds sat on the sofa shaking until I chased it out

It wouldn't have been so funny apart from the fact that if they had been in the garden with it, they would have chased it straight out. Charlie had to have a big cuddle to stop him shaking

aww those poor dogs having to face an intruder in their home!

how did it get in? there is one of those birds near my apartment. he is always alone and as far as i know i have never seen any others around... Romeow would love to eat it... he attacks birds and kills them if he gets the chance

It was so lovely this morning the conservatory doors were open and the dogs have decided that the sofa out there is theirs
The pheasant just walked in I doubt the dozy pair of mutts even realised it was there until they woke up and saw it, they are hopeless guard dogs but great cuddlers
