Does your staffy eat his greens?!
Hi all
Zac has been eating more than his 5 portions of greens a day, but they are the wrong sort!
He keep eating this:
It's sticky and I'm hoping its not poison! I try and get it out of his mouth when I can, but he is usually too fast for me lol
Does anyone know what this is and if its harmful?
Thanks

I don't know what it's called, but it's a weed that seems to get everywhere! It sticks to your clothes, shoes, your dog's fur even!
I don't know if it's poisonous, but I wouldn't take a chance - stop him if you can.

It may be Cleavers. Take a look at the link below. It dosn't appear to be harmful, it has been used as a tonic:

Looks and sounds like sticky weed as we call it in these parts. I'm pretty sure it's not toxic for dogs (it definitely isn't for humans but that doesn't mean much considering we can happily munch the likes of onions and grapes) I don't recall ever seeing it on any 'toxic to dogs list' but might be worth having a google search to make sure.

Thanks all ... Yes sticky weed/cleavers is definitely what it is!
It's good to know that the bits I don't manage to get out of his mouth won't hurt him

Put some in his dinner bowl, he will probably stop eating it once he thinks it's not naughty anymore
