StaFFie Day Today - share you stories
Hello All,
Today is StaFFie day!
On this one day, we are trying to get Staffie Fans everywhere to stand up and prove to the media that Staffies are Nanny Dogs, not Status Dogs. This involves positive action of sharing pics, stories, videos of your adorable Staffies.
It doesn't matter where you post but please DO NOT add links that go against the forum rules (Sorry about that, my fault, didn't check).
Together, we can

I've proudly displayed my staffy pic on my facebook page and shared the link to the "Stop the Staffy Cycle". Have also promoted in my local dog training classes and their facebook page. I love this breed and believe fully that there needs to be a change in attitude towards them. Off to walk my boy with pride!!

Re: StaFFie Day Today - share you stories
I've grown up with staffs and it's what these young lads get them for that makes it bad. It also goes back to history about what staffies were bred for back in the day. When i take my 2 out i can let Becks off the lead cos he comes straight back but if anyone on the field has their dog without a lead they quickly shout their dog n put them on the lead and hurry off in the opposite direction. I have to keep saying that my dogs are not harmful and me and my partner get funny looks and people staring. Their just dogs for crying out loud. They never say anything bad about jack russells and i hate those little ankle biters. U hear more about people getting bit by a jack russell but that doesnt get bad press!

BullsMommy & KathyTak2 - Brilliant pics!
The day has gone quite well. I've re-tweeted just under 50 tweets so far, about 45 had #StopTheCycle and the majority had pics with them. My own tweets have been re-tweeted 45 times. All in all #StopTheCycle was mentioned over a hundred times - It's not going to make news but it may get a few people to consider a Staffy that hadn't previously and hopefully question their prejudice towards the breed.
The 'Stop The Staffy Status Cycle' video has been watched by over 750 people to date (posted last Friday) and that is far more than I had expected so very pleased with that result.
I've not been able to keep a track on other sites (Kenny had 9 piccies posted - could those go up on here too please?
I would still like Staffie fans to keep sharing their stories. I don't mean just online, I mean in real life too. There are so many good, responsible owners out there.
Take care everyone.
Dan
