Little update on tink
Hi guys havent been on forum for a little while tink and work keeping me busy. Anyway just a little update really tink is doing very well have started to let her of her lead on walks now just trying very hard to cut her jumping up at people when she first meets them.. She loves the water everytime we walk around the lake she goes swimming.
The only thing i cant seem to get my head around is she gets a bit funny when she meets pups or some types of dogs. She starts to get very vocal growing almost to a snarl but i stop her before she gets that far. It almost seems like when she dont get a reaction from them it starts her off some dogs she goes of playing with others she just gets funny with.
For example while walking at my local park there was this male staffy running all over her jumping up at me, a really mad dog lol she was fine didnt bother her one bit but on walking home she crossed a very big 4 year old male english bully and after 2 mins of talking to this bloke tink started her act lol the bully didnt really react to tinks excitement it just kinda of stood in front of her looking at her not barking or anything. When walking tink if i see another dog coming i call her back and make a last min choice to leash her or not. If i do leash her and the dog comes over they will have a little smell of each other then tink plays up almost like see the other dog isnt on a leash could set her of i dont know. I going to try and see if i get the same reaction just by holding her collar.
Funny moments have been meeting a french bull mastiff she was off her lead tink didnt know what to do when this dog came over swear she didnt even blink short after they where best mates. Almost drowning her self trying to fetch sticks in the water. few pics of her out and about.

Re: Little update on tink
Lovely photos, very pretty kids you have and tink is a darling!!
As to the meeting other dogs, just keep monitoring her body language as you are and hopefully you'll have no problems!

Re: Little update on tink
Great to hear that Tink is getting on OK with some dogs, but maybe need a bit more work with others ???
Have a look at the link below about body language, it gives you the signs to look for and avoid anything getting out of hand. Sounds like she is still learning to read the signs from other dogs and may be getting it a bit wrong sometimes. I think it happens to most of us as some point.
Keep up the good work you are heading in the right direction anyways.

Re: Little update on tink
Tink is just so pretty!!
My Winston used to carry on sometimes like a looney when he met other dogs...but now he is pretty good....The more you can socialize her the better!
