More Ruby puppyhood
I know, ive only been on here a few days, but i just want to show off my 'boring brown' puppy dog
doing her 'leave it' command, she always looks so sad until i give her the command to take it
someone started up a strimmer in their garden and it made her jump, i love the look on her face almost questioning what the heck that noise was!
sunbathing eyes closed enjoying the warmth
lol her paws/legs look massive!
and all tired out after all the play, she wasnt left in the sun though,i moved her into the shade

Re: More Ruby puppyhood
ooh shes being a little madam over the past 24 hours, shes seemingly reversed her house training! 2 days ago she had even gotten to the point of going to the door and coming to get us if we didnt notice right away, no accidents in a long while, then yesterday she came in from outside, walked up to us stood in the kitchen and squatted for a pee! shouted no at her and took her straight out where she flat refused to go again. cleaned up. then this morning, she comes out, poops, comes in and eats breakfast, walks into the living room past the open door, and squats for a big pee on the carpet the only thing i can think is that as shes been lounging around outside on the grass all day and not really been inside, shes kind of reversed it in her head, though she does still only ever poop outside (touch wood!!!) going to go back to basics again by looks of it and re-train her, just when we thought it was all going so well

They all learn at different rates and don't really have bladder control until around 6 months. She is doing very well for her age

Boring? Brown?
How dare you! She's a beautiful, glorious red! Dear oh dear - I might just have to tell her what you've said about her!

Re: More Ruby puppyhood
its not me who thinks shes 'boring brown' its what the other potential new owners of the litter of pups said about her, all her 'pretty patterned' brothers and sister were picked first, she was overlooked every time. her colour gets more intense by the day, and she has a lovely stripe from head to tail too ive gone back to how we started with her toilet training, shes only a baby so shes got some learning to do and gain a wee (excuse the pun!) bit more control. she walks lovely on her lead now, and will walk offlead too and stay with us (only in wide open spaces with no cars/people/other dogs nearby) she doesnt seem to get that walkies are for pees/poops too though she comes zooming into the garden from a wander and goes for a long pee, bless her, shes a bit simple
