the youngest man in my family
Hi,
Just wanted to introduce myself and my big, smelly chunk of hunk Boscoe.
Have never owned a dog before and a staff would not have been my 1st choice but Boscoe was bought as a 12week old puppy for my now ex.
Boscoe always favoured me (he's not daft he knew who would fry up bacon, steaks and debone legs of lamb for him.lol) and i quickly fell in love with him. as he was my ex's dog I said training was his responsibility but when my ex and i split it was assumed that i would continue the care of him, now I need to be a perfectly trained dog as I have 3 small children and walks are done with him and a pushchair. He's a licker but excitable so anyattention and he's in there for the long haul.lol. Any advice qith regards to training would be gratefully received. Take care Farrah.x

The key to training is consistancy. Everyone has to treat him the same and abide by the same rules all of the time. Are you having any specific problems?

Re: the youngest man in my family
Thank you all.
Have 4 main problems really 1st is on his harness he'll choke himself as he's trying to pull infront, he'll do this for the whole walk.
Second he gets very excited with visitors so will.jump up and tug them to play. Thirdly is his obedience all my ex has taught is sit so now he's trying to chew anything in sight leave has turned into a game of chase and finally if he sees a break for freedom he will take it and his recall is awful even with a pocket full of treats.
Also i have tried to upload pics but i keep getting file type.not allowed, I am.currently using my phone though.x
