Hormones!!
Hi all, so Lola stopped bleeding about 2 weeks ago and since then she's been a little mare!!
She's off her food. she's CONSTANTLY wanting attention and i mean ALL THE TIME!
She's given her food, taken for a walk and played with a still sits in front of me and whines!
Im having to add things to her food to get her to eat something like gravy, mackrel, scrambled eggs etc.
She's just eaten was out about 4pm, came through to the living room and peed right in front of me!!
She's driving me niuts right now.
Any suggestions??
Thanks

Re: Hormones!!
What a little madam!
Moo's season never really affected her so not sure what to suggest apart from going back to the basic training and see if that helps.
With the food, what do you feed? I went through a stage of adding things to Moo's food, after a few months I changed as she clearly didn't like it, might be a thought.

Re: Hormones!!
Thing is she goes 8hrs overnight no problem! So why 2hrs & she peed i have no idea.
She enjoys her food, she was eating it fine for months & the week before & during her heat.
She's currently on steroid tablets (cause she keeps eating/biting her feet), I've noticed she's peeing a lot while on them & she's drinking much more.
Thank you for the replies

Re: Hormones!!
ah may be her tablets she's on then, making her drink more.
have another word with your vet and ask if they could be making her a bit moody and not herself, could be a slight side effect to them.

Steroids do funny things to them. How long has she been on them? Get her off them if you can.
The way I stopped Dempsey biting/chewing his feet was vigilance & sudocrem! Plus, I bathed his feet in warm salty water every time we came in from a walk, thoroughly dried them & smeared sudocrem all over them. Then every time I caught him licking/chewing I told him to 'leave'. If he still chewd I bribed him with a treat!

Re: Hormones!!
Hi all
So the steroids have done wonders for her nibbling!
But getting concerned about her eating.
She'll take treats when were out but she's not eating her kibble.
Its Harringtons lamb & rice shes on, should I try & get a different flavour & see if that helps?
If I add gravy or scrambled eggs in she eats it fine but dont want to have to keep adding food in
Suggestions?
