Staffy v Rottie
On my way to work this morning I saw a guy walking a Stafford & a Rottweiler together on one of those split leads - you know the ones that just have the one handle & splits into two about 2/3 way down?
Anyway, the two were walking side by side, really well, when the rottie bumped into the side of the staff. The staff gave it a sideways look as if to say "Don't do that again". A few paces on & the rottie bumped tha staff again. The staff gave a long hard look as if to say "I've already told you once......."
A few paces on and the rottie did it again. Staffy's had enough - he's warned rottie twice & he's having no more of it. He launched himself sideways at the rottie, knocked him over & stood over him snarling - didn't touch him with his teeth, just stood there.
What a sight!

suppose the owner was lucky in a way, cause it would have been a bloodbath

lol i could just picture it. Making sure the rottie knows who's the boss. I was talking to a guy one day who said he wants a staffy x rottie as he loves both breeds, it had to have the staffy face but rottie body.

Re: Staffy v Rottie
i have a rottie and a staffy and they compliment each other perfectly. They are both well adjusted, friendly dogs despite their differences in temperament and energy levels.
I think i will always have one of each as a staffy would be too much for me by itself and a rottie would be too boring.
I can't decide which if these breeds i like best :-)

I bet it was quite a sight, I use one of those split leads but its for one dog. Taz one clasp on his halti the other on his harness, made it myself though, I don't think i would ever buy a lead out of a shop most of them are 3-5 foot long who's taking who for a walk kinda leads.
Ladymarmalade. it would definately be the Rottie for me their look alone gives me the goose bumps never mind what goes on in their heads.

I do like the look of rotties. Vinnie, when standing still on a walk as he has spotted something, looks magnificent BUT he doesn't have Gizmo's playfulness or cuteness.
Gizmo is probably the cutest dog i have ever met and he gets away with murder! When he is running back to us with his ball he just looks sooooooooooooooooooo sweet. He is still very much like a puppy even though he is 18 months now.
Vinnie bless him has never looked like a puppy as he is so big. We rescued him when he was 9 months and people were scared of him even then :-( Must be hard being a rottwieller....
