DEFRA's reports in
Finally they had released the report... and as expected nothing dealing with bad dog owners.

Good point is no breed specific or type additions to section one of BSL and it looks like there wont be either, staffs are safe . another good point is no more ripping loving dogs away from "GOOD" owners just because of what they look like until a court date, common sence there at least. Rest of it a load of waffel apart from splitting £50k over three dog organisations (battersea is one) to go out into the streets and educate people...£50k??? are they for real? just says to me that goverment knows nothing about dogs and even little about the scummers with dogs. they have just palmed the hard work out to ever stretched charities with a pitance of a budget.
while there are a few highlights for good dog owners nothing at all to combat the bad ones. there is also a public consultaion going on now on the DEFRA website so you can have your say http://www.defra.gov.uk/consult/2012/04/23/dangerous-dogs-1204/ make you voice heard
