Rubys eating?!
just wondered wherever anyones got any advice for Ruby i feel her bakers complete for puppies, i soften the food for her, i gave her a bowl at 11 this morning and its not nearly 6 in the evening and shes only eaten a bit, i give her a cup full. she dont seem to be eating much shes drinks water more then anything else, and shes in the room with a kitten and a cat and birds she enjoys her self running around with her toys and she has some naps during the day she doesnt feel stressed or under any pressure what so ever. but she always tends to eat her food when shes in her cage at night time, and i wake up in the morning and shes eat it all
why dont she eat that much during the day?

Re: Rubys eating?!
Get her of of the bakers, it's total crap!
Try an get her on a good food like orijen, fish4dogs, arden grange, wainrights etc - you'll pay more, but she will do so much better on it than on the bakers!
You could also add some sardines, or samon oil to her food to make it more exciting.

Yes, take her off the Bakers if you can. It's full of colouring & additives taht won't do her any good.
Also, don't put food in her bed at night. Have set times for her meals during the day and if nesessary cut the portions down a little so that she's hungry enough to eat them. I have to say, although you don't say how big the cup is, that seems rather alot for such a young pup to eat all in one go.
As I said, try cutting down the amount for each meal, feed her at least 3 times a day, but don't leave food down at night.

At 12 weeks deano was on 80g of arden grange 4 times a day.
Now he eats 170g in the morning and 150g in the evening. He is 6.5 months old now and stopped eating his lunch about 4 weeks ago, so I have given him slightly more in the mornings and evenings now so he still gets thesme amount.

Re: Rubys eating?!
When we first got Molly we had her on bakers, took her to the vets one day with a water infection, straight away we were told to take her off bakers, she went onto James Wellbeloved. She continued with water infections, another vet then told us to put her on wet food as well.
As for her eating habits, she is VERY fussy. She won't eat her meat straight away, or any food for that matter, she is finally settling into a routine, we've found giving her a small breakfast (in her case, an egg of some kind) then waiting until around midday to give her some meat has ensured she actually eats her food.
