Hubby has put the foot down and said " Holly" is NOT her name... let the kids name her Sad

HOLLY's gorgeous! Looks a lovely strong, chunky pup. Of course she's HOLLY, what else can she be now? You've got used to it. Just tell the kids that they can name her, but she's been called HOLLY from day 1 and she's used to it, & it might be cruel to try & change it now! Big Grin

in my oppinion she goinhg to turn into one fine girl.

and re the name holly is fitting for her so when the kids come to name her just use gentle persasion lol

Well I have confirmed we made the right choice in a staffy...
Went to my inlaws for dinner tonight, and they have a X GSD / Husky/ Greyhound... strange looking fellow. Anyway He did nothing for me at all.... Long legged, gangly looking lad.... All i could look at was the lack of muscle...
shocking I know but I cant wait for my chunky little gal Smile

She'll probably want to chew EVERYTHING. You'll need to watch her like a hawk for a while & get the 'leave it' command strong! Give her plenty of hard toys to satisfy her chewing instincts & it shouldn't be quite as bad.

I have cleaned everything up that i can. The back deck only has our table and chairs on it.. everything else has been put away.. (looks nice and tidy:) )

I think for the most part she will be with me, and if we are out in her crate.. I have bought a kong toy ( puppy size) , hard bones made out of that hard rubber stuff, some treats to help train her and I will get some pigs ears or similar.

When is a good time to hang the tyre from the roof?.. what age should I get her hanging and chewing that.. I dont want to miss the boat and her not take to it

You shouldn't get her playing hard pulling games (including a tyre) until she has all her adult teeth. When she's teething you could give her things to chew & help the old teeth out, but not pulling toys.

Just a little word of warning. Pigs ears are usually fine, but some dogs will try to swallow them (mine included - he can't be given anything like that!) & they could choke. Just keep an eye on her for the first 3 or 4 to make sure she'll chew them properly!
