Elwood is a mix of......

I`ve been doing a bit of research to try to find out what Elwood is crossed with. I now think that it is Weimaraner. He has webbed feet typical of that breed, the same shaped belly and the noise he makes is definately of the hound breed!! So much for when I asked at the kennels if they had a small staffy bitch and they brough Elwood out It does explain some of his habits though! !! But I do love my little man!!

I think you may be right, i saw a 5 month old one in the park on wednesday. head looks alot like your boys, this one was about 21" tall and quite sleek. bearing in mind it was only 5 months old. only thing was ears were a bit more floppy but again that could be an age thing.

He certainly is a gorgeous little fella.

When Rocky was in the shelter he was described as Staffy/Border Collie cross, although we think he is more like Staffy/ Labrador cross, makes no difference to us we love to bits anyway.

P.S. Weimaraners are gun dogs, not hounds!

Well, they got the sex 50% right (there was, after all, only a choice of two) and the size was right at the time - I mean, he wasn't english mastiff size, was he?
