I have just been informed...

Saxon is not a Stafford because as a puppy he had "a massive amount of pink on his nose like a Pit Bull or maybe even an AmStaff or a cross of some sort." and, apparently, "SBT's don't have pink on their noses."

So, because Saxon looked like this as a puppy:



This person doesn't think he can be considered a pure bred Staffordshire Bull Terrier as an adult:


So I guess that means that Saxon (whose father is from Yankeestaff Kennels, more on that HERE) is a Pit Bull, a 15.5" tall 38lb Pit Bull. Yeah, ok...

P.S. This person is a (self proclaimed) "expert" on the breed and when I told him that many piebald dogs have pink noses, eye rims and lips as puppies, but get more black on them as they age, he responded with "What are piebald dogs? a breeder?" Yeah, he's a real expert on the breed...

yip i would have to agree (not)becouse there are no staffs born with pink in there nose that disappears with time im just so glad there are so many experts that can talk out of there back hole >

I live in Maine in the US and we don't have BSL here, so Pit Bulls aren't illegal here.

as far as I know all staffs are born with pink noses/feet then after a few days the pigment forms and alas = black/brown/dark grey [coat dependant]

emmm scarlett has that nose! her mums pedigree staff and her dad american bull dog but her mum has a very red nose!

So, from his reasoning, Dempsey is a pitbull because he had a pink nose when he was born & he had quite a bit of pink still on it until he was about 5 months old. Sheesh, what an expert!

All that I can say is that I am glad I didn't have baby pics of Frosty or Piggy. That way I can go on believing that my 15 and 14 inchers are not just mini pits but real life Staffs. See, thats what you get for digging into Saxon's past. You found out he is really just a pit... I personally get a kick out of those "experts"... or maybe I would just like to kick those "experts." I can never get that straight...

Oh how silly. Callie's nose was completely pink--she's the 2nd from the right. But she has Yankeestaff lines too--I guess they secretly breed pit bulls

I sent him a bunch of pictures of pure bred stafford puppies with pink noses and he hasn't talked to me in two days. Someone doesn't like to be proven wrong!
