My Little Nanny Dog

A few weeks ago two of the kids I babysit for came into PDog with their mom, met Saxon for the first time and fell in love with him:


I got a text last week from their mom asking me to babysit and bring Saxon along! Apparently the kids have been talking about Saxon for weeks! So I brought him along and he helped me babysit, quite literally:


We played football in the yard. I gave Saxon his everlasting treat ball so he wouldn't steal the soccer ball. He chased the football ball around with his treat ball in his mouth, he's so funny:







Then Posie chased Saxon which made him quite pleased:

Then we went inside to have dinner, but Saxon Stayed outside with his treat ball:


When I went over to the window to check on him, he was waiting to be let in:




So that he could help judge the talent contest:

I was actually pretty surprised at just how tolerant and patient he was with the kids! He didn't gnaw on the girl's hands when she was dancing with him (he usually does when an adult dances with him). When we were playing wall ball, Saxon kept trying to grab the ball and the youngest boy told him to leave it and he dropped it! I was so impressed that he would listen to a 7 year old boy! He even let the little boy take the ball right out of his mouth. Then he laid snoring with us during story time. He's such a good little "nanny dog."

Roxy is the same when the grandkids come round, it's brilliant to watch them playing together and Roxy is so gentle with them. Sure she thinks she is a kid too!!
