Re: tattoo
Had 'Ledger' and a Staffordshire knot on the side of my left foot about a month ago it wasn't as bad as I thought but it certainly wasn't pain free (the bottom of the 'g' was the worst for me) beware they take a while to heal so no shoes/socks for as long as possible and expect to go back to have it re-touched I have a little bit of the knot that is already wearing away

Re: tattoo
Getting my foot tattooed was the worse pain ever- I actually had tears in my eyes and i don't cry over physical pain-at least that's what I thought untill I had my neck tattooed.
Bear in mind if its a small piece and only script it shouldn't hurt that much but mine were large and coloured and they freaking cained. I'm wincing now remembering it. In fact the one on my neck had to be tattooed over a small scar -cringe-.
There's a reason I only have one foot tattooed! It'll be a while yet before I psych myself up enough to get the other one done!
If your going for a tat the bigger the better as it'll age better. It's your tattoo your personal choice of phrase so I don't think anyone has a right to say anything The one on my foot is over three years old now and looks the same as when I got it but i take very careful care of all my tattoos.

Re: tattoo
Sounds great everyones pain tolerance is different,so you might find it wont be as bad as you think. My next tattoo will be a portrait of Cairo
