Some of you may remember the hassle we have taking Tinker up the school to collect the children. Well it seems we are not alone.

As we walked home we saw a guy and his daughter in front of us with a teeny staffie. Harrison ran on ahead to go see the dog, so I asked (as I do with all dogs) if she was ok to be stroked. Anyway got chatting to him and asked how he found the reception at taking a dog, particularly a staff, up the school. Explained my reasoning in that we had a bad reception for taking a staff up the school. He said that a comment was made to the teacher about a staffie being up the school and apparently he turned around and said she is a pup and is friendly. So he will continue taking her up the school. I assume the teacher had nothing to say to this, fair play on him though. So once we can get Tinekrbell's skin condition under control (last thing I need is her being reported because she has bald patches), we will be back up the school Big Grin

And the staff was gorgeous. He says they got her a couple of weeks ago free on facebook ( Sad ) and she was on the same street as him. He also said she came with pedigree papers which say she is a year old. She certainly isn't, she is the size of a Jack russell, maybe slightly bigger, but not much. So I'm guessing she looks around 3-4 months of age. But he believes the papers. But she is stunning, a white dog with gorgeous brindle marking but very timid. And it's no wonder if she has been passed from pillar to post.

No doubt once we start taking Tinker back up there will be more complaints, and dogs will be banned from going up the school. But I am prepared for the fight!

You should never have stopped taking her up there! Stuff what people say and maybe Tinks can have a new play mate Smile

Good on him for not taking any notice of the silly bag at the school.

I don't think they could stop you taking your dog with you when collecting your children from the school. Dont give in without a fight thumbs up

I know I shouldn't but was just sick of the hassle from everyone, 2 people in particular.

They can stop us taking them up there but would have to stop all dogs and not just staffies. I would have to tie her up to pick Harrison up as no dogs are allowed in the yard where his classroom is (class is 2-3 year olds so some are scared of dogs), but nothing stopping me taking her up to Hollie's door.
