Another problem!!! :(
Earlier i was playing with my 2 staffy girls this afternoon when i got home from work everything was fine and they were happy as Larry. (Hi Larry ) lol
I get home from sport and Coco has a lump on the back of her neck its quiet big like maybe the size of a half an egg and raised. It definitely wasnt there before i would of noticed it sticking up. I have two staffys is it possible Moo maybe got her tooth into her neck or something just seems odd..
Ill be taking her to the vet tomorrow..

I would think that if it were a bite or puncture would you would be able to tell. Could be an allergic reaction to something or an inscect sting. I would watch her to make sure she is okay and than go to the vet.

it 12am here so ill have to take her to the vet tomorrow, she is fine but when we are constantly touching at it. She seems to think there is something wrong LOL.
Could it be a gland, do they have glans around the back of their necks?
Thanks jstaff for responding

Yes the do have glands in there necks not sure where the bump is on Coco, it does sound like an infection or reaction to something.
Pop to the vets tomorrow and let us know how you go Xx

Sounds like a wasp or bee sting to me, maybe some other insect bite?? Let us know how you get on with vet.

Re: Another problem!!! :(
Hey all have taken coco to the vet. Vet asked if I had another dog, she thinks its an infection. She also said is she microchipped and I said of course, and she mention that could have something to do with it too. But for now she is on anti biotics for 5 day to.
She did take a sample and found no cancer cells or anything. And not full of blood or puss so. Yeah just keeping an eye on it for now with anti biotics.
Thanks for the help guys

When Taz smacked his chest jumping up a wall he had a lump there for weeks but it turned out to just be swollen to protect it self, if she was rough housing she may of smacked it.

Vlad had a wasp in his water dish when I was filling it up (still alive), so I scooped it out and stomped on it... the next day the puppy trainer noticed a lump the size of a big marble under his chin... he was only 4 months old and I started panicking... but then remembered the wasp! He was fine, the lump moved around and it didn't appear to hurt him when we checked it a few times a day... so all was good! I'm learning that they get bumps and knocks and bites... and grass seeds are another!
