Wow that is awesome, how much did it cost? Was that their only meal of the day or did they have something else?
And what happened to the teeth!? I don't think Romeo would eat that, I bought him an ox's heart once and he looked at me like I was mad.

It cost me £2 and no this was just their tea, they don't normally have this much but they will have a couple of smaller meals tomorrow, they all so had a big bowl of tripe today for breaky
well they ate the lot as always, they have never turned their nose up at anything i've offered

Well i don't bother cleaning the floor after they've eaten they do a good enough job, plus i eat ALL sorts of raw meat myself and have never been ill, so i don't get why people get so up tight over raw food?

Ooo only 2 quid that's a bargain. My mum would have a fit if I brought a pig's head into the house, for a start it's not kosher!
They ate the teeth as well?

Good meal!
I couldn't do it for Dempsey cause he'd eat too much. After one lot od bloat I tend to stick to little & often with him.

Oh I will say they have had it over 2 nights as they do regulate how much they need without making them selves ill so I just leave them to it

Nice! What a bargain at £2 also!
I was going to stuff some pork in Troy's Kong but I Googled it is best to avoid raw pork for dogs due to some fatal diseases they can possibly pick up?

Yea im the same to be honest with you! dont get me wrong my boys are very jealous lol but i couldnt do that meat all over the carpet lol

Re: Pigs head for tea (don't look if squeamish!)
I wouldn't put it in a Kong as it goes off easily but it should be fine to give to him. It was always advised not to feed pork years ago as dogs could catch worms from it. But nowdays as long as your pork is from a reputable source you should be fine. I don't know of any diseases off the top of my head but feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.I was going to stuff some pork in Troy's Kong but I Googled it is best to avoid raw pork for dogs due to some fatal diseases they can possibly pick up?

Re: Pigs head for tea (don't look if squeamish!)
Very interesting! My lot would luv that I think. I personally wouldn't mind, also wouldn't mind seeing the kids when they opened the frig and saw that peeking out at them! bwahahaha. Do your boys ever get runs when you try something new or are they pretty insensitive to meat changes?

Re: Pigs head for tea (don't look if squeamish!)
came back for another look to see what the site is like 2nd time round and must admit they do look like theyre enjoying it though bless them. just strange thing to see cos normaly dogs get fed dry or cooked meats now a days i certainly wasnt expecting the full head when i first looked. dont think lottie and lemmy would have it though. gave them a little raw meat when i was maiing tea last week. lottie licked it and then looked at me as though i was having a laugh and lemmy proceded to play with it and threw it all over and chased it. am sure he thought it still had a pulse and some legs

Ive fed hearts before and i wouldnt mind feeding that once but NOT on the carpet. The bacteria would stink!

Re: Pigs head for tea (don't look if squeamish!)
I really couldn't care less that it's on the carpet they do a massive clean up once they have done anyway, and there's never anything left or any smell!

Re: Pigs head for tea (don't look if squeamish!)
wow, love it. They definitely look like they're enjoying it hey
I would try Bax on this but my wife loves Pigs and I KNOW she wouldn't have this.
We've got a great butcher who we get huge bones (with meat still on) for Baxter and I think this is as far as we would likely go. I know he like the meaty bones, so he'd definitely go for this.
Maybe, if I can talk the wife round I will speak to the butcher and treat Bax for xmas

I always been told it's best to avoid raw pork meat because of the Aujesky virus. Anyone has heard about it?

The UK doesn't have that problem so it's fine to feed british pork

Re: Pigs head for tea (don't look if squeamish!)
I may be wrong but I think the bad pork thing is in places like the USA not the UK
Guest- Guest
Re: Pigs head for tea (don't look if squeamish!)
The US is i believe mostly free from it now aswell

Re: Pigs head for tea (don't look if squeamish!)
Love the pigs head and what a great price. Where did you manage to get it from?
Would love to put that in the fridge with a fag in it's snout and shades on to defrost without telling the family.

Yep they are on a raw diet so definitely good for them
Guest- Guest
Not sure
I feed both my girls on raw food and I love to see them chomp through chicken wings, ribs, lamb necks, etc, etc, but I don't think I could go as far as a pigs or lambs head. I am sure they would love it though
