hey guys really need advice (plus new pictures of my baby )
when i brought my soon to be 13 weeks pup to the vet, the doctor told me i would have to wait 3 weeks b4 he can go out since im just about to start the shots procedures :S. iv bin home all day with my pup and notice that he gets a lil bored some time. i have a park close by my place is it ok for me to bring my pup out non vaccinated as long as i keep him from far reach of any dog to dog contact? i heard that was the reason why it is adviced not to take your dog out b4 his shots because you dont want him to catch something of another dog.. is there any other way my pup can get sick besides dog to dog contact pre vacination? pre thanks guys dieing to let my baby explore a lil for now hope you enjoy these new pics

lovely pic's,very cute .i personally would not take him out till he has had all his jabs, being so young he would pick up infections and disease's and all the nasty things they can get,if you have a garden play ball games ect with him,i know you prob dying to take him out but its really not worth it.

yes if you have a foxs, rats or anything that type of thing
Re: hey guys really need advice (plus new pictures of my baby )
Its better that you dont take him outside, take him a walk inside and practice with a collar and lead on him, cause it takes a while for them to get used to a collar and lead
btw he is cute

Please don't. He could catch something nasty just from sniffing the ground. Play games with him in the house, fetch, tug of war. Does he have lots of toys? My dog used to have a whole basketful, its sad he doesn't play with them anymorei have a park close by my place is it ok for me to bring my pup out non vaccinated as long as i keep him from far reach of any dog to dog contact

Agree not to take him to the park. I would try to get him to walk on lead in your yard though so he is ready to go

Re: hey guys really need advice (plus new pictures of my baby )
Your vet and everybody above is giving the correct advice. By having taken your pup out, he could have inhaled an infection, as he is still little his immune system is still underdeveloped. Dogs like humans need to be vaccinated to prevent serious diseases. An infection like parvovirus can kill. You have probably invested a lot of time and possibly money in your pup, why risk it ? There are lots of good books about raising a puppy, try your local library.

On this subject...when can they meet other dogs that you are confident are healthy and vaccinated?
I did know no public grass, sidewalks, etc until 16 weeks.

With most vaccines you can take your pup out a week after the second lot of jabs (UK) or a week after the third lot of jabs (Australia). I don't know about other countries!

Agrre with everything here , in the UK nost Vets say 1 week after 2nd Jabs just to be sure they are doing there stuff, it will seem like an eternity but well worth the wait to be safe and sure. and he's a little belter

Very cute pup there! Agree with everyone above. Parvo and other bugs don't need dog to dog contact to spread. They are actually present in alomst all public places and that is why you are told not to go out until the jabs are done. No other way to assure the pup won't get one of the nasty viruses. I know it can seem like a long time to entertain inside, but it is absoluetly not worth the risk of getting your pup seriously ill (risking life).
