my lilly with archie
hello as ive never had a sbt before and have just got my staff pup lilly... i was wondering if any one else has there staff with another breed of dog i have a very tiny yorkie x pom..who is the dom dog at mo... im worried lilly will turn it around as she gets bigger and eat archie.. dont get me wrong they dont fight but archie tells lilly off alot and lilly will back off straight away.. i love lilly already but archie is my baby and i couldnt bare it if lilly grew up and hurt him..i know i may be being paronoid as she is a staff.. so just some reasurrance would be nice.. thanks ... im prob over thinking things but im always like that.

Re: my lilly with archie
Trust me, dont let the bad staffy rep get you thinking things like that .. yes be vigilant as you would with any animals together but dont think lily will eat your archie when shes older lol.
i have two staffys and they havnt ate each other and people on here have 3 and 4 and others have mixed breed's with them etc and 99% have no problems! .. Bring her up the right way and make sure they both know there place in the pack and you wont have any problems .. Staffys are very loving! i know of a SBT who is a foster mom for 5Ducklings and she hasnt used there lil duckling legs as tooth picks
P.S your Avatar is cuuuuute!

don't worry and brush off the remarks, my mum gets negative comments when she has Moo and she's 60!

Re: my lilly with archie
id be more worried that archie will have a pop at lilly with the "little man syndrome". staffies are so soft, the 2 times woody has been injured(minor) has been by small dogs.

well yes archie is crazy and has lots of attitude and if he was big he would be a hand full lol... any way i doubt lilly would ever catch him ...lol

Re: my lilly with archie
I have got a 7 year old westie cross jack russell and a 9 year old border collie cross spaniel, and when we got Polly our little staffie girl last year I was a little worried that she might hurt the westie cross as she got older and bigger when they were playing, as he has had a ruptured cruciate ligament and is very careful of that leg. I needn't have worried, she is so gentle with him when they play never bashing him about on his bad side or rolling him when they are tearing about in the garden or dragging him around the house or garden, very unlike her games with the collie cross. She is amazing and has even made a convert out of my hubby who was not really a staffy fan at all. Now she gets away with murder with him, and has him firmly wrapped around her little paw.

Re: my lilly with archie
I wouldn't be overly concerned about the pup. He or she will get used to your current dog and she will get used to the pup

I find that Tyson is very sweet with smaller dogs even if they have Napoleon Syndrome.
