Day 3 of having my 13 wk old puppy :)
Well it's going really well so far!!
We've had only 3 accidents (wee) in the house
She's been having a poo within 10 mins of each meal, and no other poos!
Overnight she seems to be settling into her crate, occasional yapping at first but seems to settle within 10 mins or so
I get up at 3 hour intervals, put her outside and she wee's straight away! Not wee'd in her crate yet!
I have one question please, if you can assist:-
She keeps scratching at her collar when I put it on, I want to leave it on for most of the day so that she gets used to it... I take it off at night. Presumably this is normal? Am I doing the right thing leaving it on and putting up with her scratching at it??
She also sleeps loads (on my lap)... I presume this is just a puppy thing!

It all sounds good !! fantastic !!
Taz took a while to get used to a collar and sat scratching to get it off at every opportunity - I used a very tiny one to begin with (similar to a cat collar), I started with about ten minutes and increased the time till she was comfortable, I also put it on when she was busy, so she had a distraction at the same time ( eating, playing) and got also her used to wearing a harness too (which she preferred).
And she was very cuddly and sleepy for several weeks.

Puppies do tend to sleep alot. If she is scratching at her collar and walks on lead you can take it off in the house

Sounds like you are doing very well. Keep up the good work, it may well take a while to get used to the collar don't worry to much about it.

Ahh thanks all
I like her on my lap but don't want her to end up molly coddled lol
I thought the collar thing would be "normal" as it's totally new to her!
Going better than I could have hoped so far, was expecting plenty of sleepless nights... at least i'm getting some
