Does anyone know if the Kindle Fire is going on sale in the UK if so, when??

Would I be able to purchase it from USA and have it shipped ??

nothing i have read appears to indicate release date.

need to take this opportunity to praise Amazon though for customer service - my kindle died last week (a year after going for a swim in the bath). After phoning Amazon and explaining dead battery/frozen screen and a "no it hasnt been near water" they have sent me a brand spanking new one without charge even though my warranty expired 5 months ago!!!! hows that for service!

I love my kindle, although I do miss holding a book

They do international shipping but not on all items. You could always add it to your cart and try. If they won't ship it they will let you know before the order is complete

i read on the amazon kindle forum that if you had it shipped outside of the US you potentially have problems using it

I've only got a normal Kindle and it has worked in every country that I've been to without a problem

normal ones are fine jstaff its the fire i believe-may be wrong

I was thinking about getting one but I would never get off the internet I think.
