Training : diesel made me proud
Had a lovely visit from my younger sister today, shes 25. she came with her hubby and 2 yr old son.
It was the first time they were to meet Diesel .....
I was slightly nervous tbh. My sister had a rare brain cancer and as well as being fairly fragile she has a tube in her chest attached to a pump which pumps meds directly into her.
I had visions of Diesel bouncing off the Walls and getting caught in tubes etc.
Anyway Diesel must have had a personality transplant lol she was perfect ! No jumping up, she didn't even put her paws on my sister, she sat beside her lapping up the love, she was so obedient, I sent her out of the room a cpl of times ... And she went ! And didn't come bk in till I said she could.
Really she was the perfect dog today, she gave my nephew some puppy kisses too and was so gentle.
Staffys truly are the best.

It's strange that sometimes they seem to know when people are ill. Not sure how they do it though, well done Diesel

Glad to hear it went well. I think tha they can smell different types of hormones humans produce and react based off of that.

It's a sixth sense in all dogs, our old Border Collie was forever jumping up at people and over excited. Me mam went into hospital for a hysterectomy and we had great concerns over keeping a handle on Ben, when mam came home we tentatively let him approach her on the lead, he just licked her hand and sat beside her for a stroke. Once we were confident we let him off the lead and every opportunity he had he would never leave her side, all the way through recovery, but he was still the same daft dog with everyone else.

Dogs are amazing. They can detect changes in our chemical makeup. Well done Diesel!
