Re: Staffie pup and sleeping
Bandit ALWAYS did that. The trouble was, he learned that when we were asleep, he could stretch out & we would move to let him get more room. We used to end up right at the edges of the bed, while he had the whole of the middle to himself!
We don't allow Dempsey to sleep on the bed, because he's too damned fidgety!

Totally normal! Mine wasn't allowed on the bed for the same reason above, but she is now, only cause I have a double bed to myself and she can have half!

yes this quite normal for dogs to do this, this how dogs sleep in the wild with their pack, your dog is just showing their pack mentality

Re: Staffie pup and sleeping
Blue used to sleep in my bed until recently.
My wife has recently had an operation on her spine and woke up the other morning thinking something had gone wrong with the operation as she couldn't feel her legs only to discover Blue had decided to jump on the bed in the middle of the night and sleep on her legs

Charlie wont be allowed on my bed, hubby's rules not mine. His cat max always sleeps on the bed and he doesnt want him booted out by Charlie cos he was here first. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander I say and if his cat can sleep in our bed, so can my dog!

Hmmm, so when you got the bed, who was the first one to sit on it? If it was you, then you have the right to boot your OH out!!!

Re: Staffie pup and sleeping
pebbles always sleeps on our bed, but the past few nights she has been waking up in the night crying. Thinking this is because she is an old lady and is struggling to hold her bladder we been trying to get her to go out. However this has not been the case. The poor old girl is freezing cold. As soon as we get her to come under the duvet with us she puts her head on the pillow and goes to sleep.I know how utterly miserable i feel when i am cold so god knows how they feel poor little mites. I would rather have my pebbles in the bed than my hubby she doesnt snore as loud lol.

good for you shontelle, but if you let charlie sleep on your bed, max days of sleeping on the bed are numbered, charlie will soon put him off the bed

Re: Staffie pup and sleeping
I think it is completly fine aslong as you dont mind all the fidgiting and constent in and out of the covers. Ty slept with me when he was smaller but since I have moved back in with the mother he has to stay in his crate (mums rules) If she would let him he would still share my bed. But he likes to sneek up to my room of a morning and get under the cover for his snuggles and I am fine with that lol.
