Need to get the bottle of colour out

I am not ashamed to say that my hair colour is out of a bottle thses days. not the funky ornages or reds unfortunately its not for fun its necessary. i refuse to grow old and LIGHTER gracefully. i have to do it this time though cos we are going out for dinner tomorrow with the whole family for my brothers 50th. i refuse to go to a 50th birthday looking old and LIGHTER myself. i refuse to look as though i am even remotely close in age to him. i booked the hair dressers for a cut and got the colour at the super market i do my own NICE 'N' EASY. anyway whose sat in the chair at the haridressers getting a colour and cut herself but my mother so its a good job i was doing it all otherwise i would have been the only female there with the lighter colour hair.

ah its only gunna be brunette i was once a natural brunette but i think that colour is slowly running for the hills cos the lighter colour is bullying it and i have stuck to my ordinary colour cos the last time i changed it for a lighter shade i ended up ginger if you all remember

Better post a pic then so we can see that it hasn't turned out ginger again

I am the same as you Julie, I have got loads of grey, I use henna it's really good cause the gre bits are lighter and it looks like I have got highlights

you reminded me with highlights. do you remember the good old days when the colour was for fun. i once got blonde highlights put in my hair and went off to a night club that night thinking i looked great. untill my mate laughed at me. aparently blonde bleached hair looks green under the ultra violet lights.

I found a gray hair (well, I'm sure of it !) while in the lift in work whilst sorting my hair out in the mirror. Then I looked again and I couldn't see it. I ran into the office shouting 'oh my god, someone check my hair, I just found a gray !' Haven't found it since

its my gemma i feel sorry for. i started going grey at 27 she's only 21 bless her and has been dying her hair for 2 years now. only a handful but enough to make her scream atme then run off to the shop

It's OK my natural hair colour is trying to escape also. I will not let it happen though. We must overcome the aggressor which is the white hair. We will not be defeated, we will fight them in the hair salon, we will fight them in the bathroom, we will be victorious. Long live the brunette hair colour
