Yup. I swear. The only thing I don't say is the "C" word... but everything else comes out of my mouth. Never used to, but when I was working on farms when younger, I just picked it up!

Fraid I am ...
Some things just dont sound the same, or arnt as funny if ya dont sqeeze a swear word in (but has to be in the right place ..... not like, a turets way ) ..... tho I do find that funny aswell
In fact, most of the things that make me laugh are "non PC" ..

Re: Bad language !
I do...like a sailor. But it is very selective. I have never let in slip in the wrong company (Client etc). I loathe the "c"word, have never used it and really get mad when someone else does.

Re: Bad language !
Hmmm. Depends what you mean. I use bloody & *, but nothing really stronger than that unless I'm really upset!
I never use the 'c' word!

I don't think I could trust anyone who dosn't put in the occasion swear word. I do but I am not as bad as I used to be. Must be mellowing in my old age.

Re: Bad language !
My kids always seem to be about and I really don't swear hardly at all. Although, if pushed hard enough I have been known to speak french. Only time it bothers me honestly is when kids are around. With all the kiddos I have really made people laugh by useing kid friendly words even when with adults. Kinda embarassing actually... "oh schnitzel!"

I'm not offended by it... my husband uses it a lot, I just can't bring myself to say it LOL and depending on the circumstances it is used in, sometimes I find it down right hilarious

Re: Bad language !
I make myself sound very common LOL: I don't swear around my parents or children, I don't swear when I'm working (however, some of the general public are really asking for a mouthful of obscenities!) and I don't swear around people I don't know or have just met. It's usually contained to home, close friends or when some f#$k nut really s#$ts me at work... I'll go into my office and have a bit of a swearing rant

I just find it so offensive! I don't like to hear it & I certainly won't say it. I don't think it has anything at all to do with being female, either, it's just such a disgusting word. Even my oh won't use it!

But it's slang for female in a few ways, and to me as any swear it's just a word, I don't say it around many people but with the OH and friends we all use it alot!

I know that, but when I was growing up it was considered a really bad thing to call someone - and certainly no woman should use it! I guess I'm just old - I hate the word; won't use it myself & I get really seriously umpy when I hear others use it.

I certainly wouldn't say around someone i know who would be offended by it, but I will use it for the most mundane things but that's just me

Re: Bad language !
I HATE the C word. I can't explain why, I just find it so offensive. It's a vile word, and just hearing it makes me mad. My husband wouldn't dare say it in my hearing, and my friends and family don't either.
I do swear, probably more than i should. I don't swear around children as a general rule, but when I stubbed my toe on the dining room door frame this morning, I did say s!!t, that f*****g hurt! while dancing around with their breakfast bowls.
My four year old daughter just said "mummy, that's naughty, you shouldn't say that". I felt really bad and apologised. I think sometimes, like when you hurt yourself, you just can't help it slipping out. I'm lucky though that my children don't copy swear words. they know it's a bad word and tell anyone they hear swearing that it's bad - they know never to repeat it. I quite often hear children swearing at their friends and parents, and nine times out of ten, the parents just laugh about it!!

Re: Bad language !
i do my best not swear around kids or let my 8 year old daughter who doesn't live with me swear but once i had a phone call off her mum saying she wouldn't have our daughter calling her a b!tch, i chuckled and thought to my self well she's not lying but did have a word explaining she shouldn't call mum that as it hurt's her feeling even if you know it's true there are better words to use

I swear like a sailor. Every second word that comes out of my mouth is an expletive. I am especially fond of the 'c' word.
It upsets me greatly that every little naughty word is asterisked into nonexistance on this forum.

There should be no taboo on language. Children should be free to express themselves through appropriate language. If they're really angry and have to swear to express it then so be it. People who get offended by words have no imagination. If I really wanted to insult or argue with someone I wouldn't use swear words. That's lazy.
I learnt all the 'swear' words from my mum.

Re: Bad language !
I have to agree ... some forums I use have an area with an "if your easily offended" warning before lookin in, where you can say what ya like really within reason, and not have to worry as much about upsetting anyone ... there are literally hundreds of thousands of places on the net that kids can see/read a lot worse than a few swear words in here! (have you ever listened to kids in schools these days!!!) .. as long as you are pre-warned, then I cant see a problem with it
I also think its HOW a swear word is used ... for example some jokes really dont work without them full stop! ... but if used in anger and an agressive manner thats when it becomes intimidating !
Just my veiw ..

C word is my favourite but not in front of a lady

Re: Bad language !
It's funny how the 'c' word can arouse so much passion in people - at the end of the day it's just a word but I do think it's still the ultimate tabboo word - you certainly very rarely hear it on TV even though the other swear words seem to now be in common use.
I used to swear a lot more than I do now, but having kids does tend to moderate your language.

Ella , I said ladies , not females We have a group of 4 girls in our office that are real potty mouths and would put me to shame, but we only noticed when the MD got a new PA who is a really lovely lady but she don't swear, and she don't complain about other people swearing , but for me it would feel like swearing in front of me mam, and i would never do that.

That's the point, you say it yourself so you don't mind hearing it. But like you said previously, you wouldn't use it around anyone who found it offensive, and most women do, therefore it's a word that isn't really used around ladies.
I hate the word anyway, but, please don't take this personally cos it's not aimed at you, I think it sounds particularly awful coming out of a woman's mouth.
That said, I do know a fair few women who say it in every sentence, it's just their way, but I think it sounds absolutely vile.
