millys weird ways
Milly has some weird ways.At the moment she seems to want to stand over the top of my old boy barney she only seems to Do this to him and its always when he is laid down asleep on the rug.We have never seen her do this to our little jack russell. She also doesnt like barney and jessie having treats ive noticed when i give them all a treat she drops hers and will race after jessie and barney trying to steal theres even though they all have the same treat.Believe me we tell her off for This with a sturn voice. This works for a short while. But then we are back to the same problem again when it comes to giving them a treat again.Hope this makes sense.Could this be just jeoulesy

Re: millys weird ways
Never had more than one dog together so I'm not going to be much help. I would be inclined to agree with jelousy though.

Re: millys weird ways
Only ever had one dog at a time but it sounds like jelousy to me.

Re: millys weird ways
Sitting on standing over and laying ontop of another dogs is consider as very dominant behaviour, your lucky your boy is so laid back or you would have had a few fights to deal with already, It does need stopping but dominance is a hard nut to crack unfortunately bests ways are to feed other dogs first making her wieght last even pretend to eat from her food bowl first, wait until she is calm no matter how long before you do any activities with her, when you see her lay ontop or sit on the other dog, keep calm walk over grab her collar remove her from the dog and lay her down be consistant. when treating to avoid charging or snapping out of dominance if she does it you can either remove her from the room as she is doing it or teach the leave it command or the "turn" command while your petting another one of your dogs say its their turn and throw the others treats for waiting.
