Last night I went to my parents house for dinner, our neighbours were there too and they have three boys from age 6 - 11.

Russell has never had a lot to do with kids, because usually if there are children around there is also other dogs to play with so he opts for dogs. but last night he played ALL night with the kids, running around, tug o war, fetching the ball and all of them looked like they were having a blast! and I could see how Russell changed the way he played with the boys, he was more gentle and let them win tug o war every now and then (which he never does for me unless I trick him or hold out for half an hour)

I'm impressed by his nature with kids Big Grin

well done my grown up boy Russell!

Awesome to hear, we have 3 children as well from 3 months old to 4 years old, and our dogs just awesome with them. The only time she has ever hurt them is when she got nuetered and had to wear one of those lightshade type things on her head, and the sides were the perfect height for our boys face, he had about 3 bruises bless him, she just couldnt judge the width of it.

our boy puts his hand in her mouth when she is eating, chewing on a kong/bone/whatever and she has never hurt him, he can take anything off her and she will just follow him round like a shadow untill he gives it back.

Awesome dogs staffys.

Think most of them love kids hence the term "nanny dog".
Roxy always reverts back to a puppy when my grandkids visit!Running round like a looney. Soon as they go she's back in her bed snoring for the rest of the day Laughing
