That's because he's a brainless moron!
Nothing at all wrong with the collar & harness you've got! I use a simple webbing half check - no frills!

Re: collars??
My girl wears a no pull harness when out walking. I also had a pink collar with her name in diamonte letters on it for a while. ( didnt last long, she chewed it to pieces, obviously not a fan LOL!) I thought it might make her look less intimidating, but it did look a little strange. You wear what you want, i personally dont like the studded collars and avoid them.

Re: collars??
Chase has a studded collar, brown leather with brass studs, the small square studs, not huge pointy ones. I find leather drys quicker than the material ones on wet days or when he goes for a paddle.
Think it just depends on personal taste and what works best for you, anyone else should keep ther nose out! I wouldn't tell a stranger ther trainers look stupid, so why insult ther dog?

Re: collars??
I have a thick leather collar on Junior and it has diamond shaped metal studs in a bully pattern.
His harness is custom made with a T-shaped row of spiked studs and black lather again.
I walk him on either a plain leather lead of the heavy duty chain lead.
The collar you're showing is nice, but I wouldn't walk Junior or K on it, it's all personal taste and my what my dogs wear in a reflect of their personality and mine.

I have Ezy Collars. I like them quite well. Monte wears a red one and Frosty has a camo one. Never been a fan of spikes on any dog. Just my oppinion. I do like the Staffy collars though that have the knots. I'm going to get a pair at some point.

Re: collars??
i prefer a simple check chain when walking frankie , my dog is well trained and when hes wearing his check chain he knows to behave . i did have another male years ago that wore a studded collar , rotty of lead , my dog slips out of studded collar , you can guess the rest .

Re: collars??
Mine have a green camo ezy dog one each and a black leather studded one each. You dont no how much i hate the studded ones but if it was left up 2 my hubby they would have matching spikey harnesses as well so the comprimise could of been worse!

The first comment out of my mouth would have been mind your own business....these comments get me riled up and i've just looked at the link i've never brought one only the ones bruno is wearing but it's a lovely collar and i'd definitely walk out with it as it looks stunning
A large majority of people today who don't own a staff look at them as being harmful or just fighting dogs...they don't understand there's a 3yr old kid underneath all that muscle who crys for 24/7 attention.
In future ignore stupid comments and take your out in pride.

I agree with this 100%, if your dog looks good to you and you know he or she feels good inside, that's all that matters.

Re: collars??
amazing.. what a brainless moron to say something like that.
Well my 2 have all sorts of collars and harnesses ( I must stop going through the collar section on ebay! ) but Jethro's best collar has multi coloured peace signs all over it ( with a matching lead of course! ) and Winston's has love hearts all over it. They are lovers.. not fighters!
I always think the big thick staffy studded collars would be so uncomfortable for the poor dog to wear.

Re: collars??
Vanessa i've never brought the studded collars either..as i saw one on a staff and looked way to much around the neck, they look something a Rottweiler would wear or a Dobermanvanessa wrote:

Re: collars??
Vanessa the main trouble today and i've already stated it...if people take the time and trouble to really look at a staff, their eyes alone give beauty and warmth off and they're not out for fighting or should'nt be put over in that manner, they're just a regular sized dog that carries alot of muscle never mind the history behind them.
People who see them in that manner are the ones who abuse them, use them for an imagine and it's those who turn the dogs personality into turning because all they love is so much fuss it's unbelieveable.
I like the collars i buy bruno and i've seen some beauty's out there and my friend goes for the diamond look for her bitch and male and they always look stunning...it's a good job it was'nt said to me

Re: collars??
I cant afford those collars and harnesses and frankly dont think they are worth anything but to keep the hard lad image alive. I have a collar that i got from the £1 on lexi which people comment to me about! i just use a plain black harness i got at a market one time when she went and was pulling the arm of me. Also was a day she was VERY well behaved, we were at the pet food stall and she was licking and playing with a jack russel (she was just a little un so haddnt got DA yet lol) and a boxwer cam by and started barking and growling at her and the owner was like "your dog is so aggressive!!" and the JT owner turned around and said "its your dog thats trying to get at it love, that dogs sitting playing with mine perfectly fine!"

Re: collars??
Urgh what a moron. If he wants a scary dog don't bother with a staffy would be my first advice to him!
I have a variety of collars for Romeo and most are studded or (even better) spiked! I think he looks utterly adorable in them, hes not the sort of dog that could look scary really, hes very short legged and sort of pootles along like a catapiller when he walks.
I've only had positive comments about his gear, about how smart or nice looking they are. He has a black leather with brass studs and stafford knots, a thin burgandy leather one with studs, a very thick studded ones with skulls on and a black one with spikes.
As well as looking good these collars are for his own protection. He has been attacked by a couple of dogs in the past (both labradors) and the last one was quite nasty and pinned him down. It tried to bite this throat and his studded collar stopped him. Since then i've always made sure he has a thick collar on when we go for walks, although he wears a chain with his tags on and sometimes a bandana.
He also has a brass and black leather stafford harness with matching lead. I useally walk him on a heavy duty silver and black chain lead.

Yep, same with Junior, the thick collars stop dogs getting to his neck, and the spikes on the harness rebound the other dogs.
Heavy Duty chains are the way to go for me, or horse leadropes.

vanessa, me and my hubby have often said what the hell goes through their minds "they've got to be sick" and your correct there's way to much love showing if they was to take notice.
Pure neglect and ignorance today and never mind dogs being PTS it's the owners where some are concerned...i get stressed out about it because i love and adore the breed so much
