I never used training pads or newspaper, however, we do have a tile floor so accidents were easy to clean if they happened. We took Vlad out every fifteen minutes to the spot in the garden where we wanted him to go and eventually it clicked... even if he had an accident inside... we never yelled at him, we would just say "No" and pick him up and take him to the spot outside. He got the idea quite quickly and after about 12-15 weeks, we had no accidents inside (other than a runny bum one night because he was under the weather, but he couldn't help that.) No if we say "Go Pee" He walks to the spot in the garden and has a wee.

Easiest way to toilet train a puppy is to teach it to go outside. Not as easy in the winter as it is in the summer, but take the puppy outside about every half hour, let him/her, walk about. Make sure you have some treats on you all the time. As soon as he she goes to wee or poo, say WeeWee straight away and threat them straight away. He she will pick it up within days. If they do have an accident in the house, ignore it, dont tell them off, clean it up and carry on with the day. At nite time, put paper down or a pad, but take up during the day. If you have the time to follow this threw everyday your puppy will be going to the back door by them self in days. It is a good idea to put a pad or paper down by the back door just incase you dont get there in time to let the puppy out. Also when you take the puppy to the toilet in the morning for the first few week carry him or her, saves any accidents. If you need any more advice i'd be happy to try and help, good luck x
