Sonic the Greyhound

i told you all a while ago that my sister rescued a Greyhound. Well he was renamed Sonic by my nephew and he has settled in so well that he has made himself at home on my sisters bed during the day for a nice nap.

if theyre racing dogs they are treated badly. Sonic has the equivelant of a sprained ankle and cant race any more so his owner was going to have him shot but a rescue took him and shipped him up to my sister. The rescue and my sister had to pay cos the guy said it was cheaper to shoot it.

my nephew is 5 and named him after sonic the hedgehog from the game. bless its great where kids get their names from. lemmy on the other hand was named by my OH and my son after the singer in the motorhead band. guess they never grow upp really so they. one day we will have an animal with a proper name
