how long for a staffy to adapt to new surroundings?
come the end of feb i'll be moving house, and Lola will be torn away from her permanant canine companion Phoebe (a weimeraner) the two have been pretty much inseperable since i brough Lola home in 2010, and bar the odd few days have never spent time away from each other. i had Lola on her own at my parents over xmas, and noticed she was a bit put out by being on her own, and every walk i took her on she was anxious to just play with every dog we saw (usualy she has a quick sniff and moves on)
so my question is how long would it take Lola to adjust to being an only dog? the separation is inevitable, and i wont be able to take another dog on straight away as chances are i'll be moving back to the parents for a short while
cheers

It could take a coupleof weeks or so, but they're really quite adaptable & if you let her play with other dogs she should be ok. Obviously check with other owners first that they want their dog to play!

Just give Lola plenty of time to adjust. I'm sure she will be fine in time. Lots of new playmates will help too.

Agree with the above advice. It shouldn't take too long to adapt and new playmates can be found

Agree, she may be down for a bit but they bounce back and adapt very well
