maisey snapping at pup help please

hi guys my 10 month old maisey is in season and coming up to her 3rd week now we started to notice today that she gettin abit aggresive towards my 11 week pup and weather its because of her being in season, normally shes good as gold with the pup or is it just start of things to come ,,, They always being so play full with each other, but maisey turned today and went for ty her fur were stood up on her back,,,,need help don,t wanna get rid of any of them help needed plz

Did she really go for the pup or was she just telling it off? My older dog Tasha has given Kasidy a thick ear a few times for being rude and in her face?.

hiya i,m not too sure how far she would have gone because i grab hold of maisey before she had the chance,never seen her act like that before she has warned him afew times before but this was different growling and showing of teeth plus her eyes kinda rolled back ,,,i must admit i thought she was gonna attack are maybe i was just jumping the gun abit ,,maybe she is just warning him to back off .

Tasha growls and shows a full set of teeth when telling off Kasidy and sometimes grabs the younger dogs muzzle, this doesn't often happen now because Kasidy got the message. I'm sure being in season would be a factor? keep an eye on them and see what other replies you get?.

I would keep them seperate if you are going to be out while Maisey is in season.

They do get a little nangy when in season its not her fault she is a little confused and not very playful so best to be more observant while she is going through this
