Re: bath time... de de de derrrr
When I wash Moo, and its very rarely I do her under the shower. Turn the shower on first and get a luke warm temp, and then I lift her into the bath and shampoo. She's good and stays relitivly still, IMO I wouldn't use johnsons but a proper dog shampoo though as Staffs are prone to sensitive skin. Good luck Xx

Billy loves his bath, with have a shower attachment that we use, anybody who has a bath in our house beware of Billy cause he likes to jump in

Re: bath time... de de de derrrr
we put a bit of water in the bottom of the bath to soak the crap out of the feet while the body is washed. get the shower head and soak the body apply shampoo and rinse off repeat as necessary no really a little in the bottom as i said then the shower head for the rest. as you say loving patient nice voice etc or have someone else there to hold and treat as necessary

Good luck. First time I bathed Stinkerbell.....sorry Tinkerbell, she jumped out half washed and ran away.
She now loves the bath though and will try every trick possible to join us in there.
I agree with someone else giving you a hand though, just to put a hand on a collar (we have an old one we leave on for the bath) and to talk to her whilst you wash her!

I've been very lucky as all of mine have loved baths. Suki will try to get into the shower every time. They do get a bit energetic afterwards though

We're lucky enough to have warm weather and sunshine here in Aus.....but RoXy HATES a bath. She will run throuhg the creek when we go on our walks but as soon as it';s bath time she tremblse and shakes and tries to run away.
I have a babies bath that I fill with luke warm water and then wet her down using a jug or similar, lather with soap, rinse, empty the bath and refill with clean water and rinse again. Sounds easy, but believe me it's a real effort....good job we bath her out in the back yard coz she'd make an awful mess of the bathroom otherwise.

Violets ears go back even at the mention of a bath But last night she really needed one, as she had been pottering about in the garage, plus, it's Christmas!
She seems to do better if I get in the bath with her. We only fill it up to about her knee level then use a bowl to tip water over her when we want to rinse off her doggy bubbles. The showered on the bath here is too flakey in terms of keeping a set temperature, so I'm worried if I use that she'll get burned, but mums bath has a better shower and Violet didn't seem to tolerate that (well, as much as she could tolerate a hideous baff ).

Re: bath time... de de de derrrr
Couple inches of warm water in the bath, then use a shower attachment to wet them down (wash off the worst of the mud in Max's case ) good lathering all over, shower it off, then another lathering, shower it off (I talk to Max all the way through ) then lift him out and dive on him with a mahooosive beach towel before he gets a chance to shake .... we have bought some "bed Head" shampoo for dogs, so tryin that at the mo
