Re: christmas shopping
I'm glad some people have finished all their Christmas shopping - I'm actually a bit frightened of going to work for the next three days, as I'm guessing the shopping will be wild. I'm even more scared of working the boxing day sales though!

Re: christmas shopping
I'm sure pete hasn't forgotten, the only presents under my tree are for Moo and I seem to have spent the last month doing things for my family (mum excluded we had christmas early).
Funny time of year I always think. Its over and dusted in 24 hours.

Re: christmas shopping
I try to get my Christmas shopping done in September, no queues, I don't do queues. Most of the things I got for people this year have been home made anyway, chutneys, jams and Christmas puddings, I hate queues did I mention that.
We have a free range chicken for Christmas dinner, well Christmas eve as we will be at in laws for the big day, I hate queues, did I mention that.

Re: christmas shopping
our family only buy for the kids. christmas is for the kids and it lasts almost a week by the time we have all doen the rounds of the families both my side and petes then we have cousins and freinds over during the week as well. then new years eve is party time. kids in a corner with a clouring book while the adults are in the middle with a few beers and some music. i have no kids any more though theyre all grown up so i dont have to keep stopping and checking on them.

last year we didnt have to pay for turkey cos the brother in law got one and it was so big that it wouldnt fit in his oven so he cut it in half and gave us half. our half was so big it wouldnt fit in the tray properly. needless to say i wasnt cooking and i certainly wasnt cleaning the oven after that either

Re: christmas shopping
We have finally finished too! Now I just need to wrap the whole lot. Really should have done it earlier. Intended on doing it yesterday but spend the day on the children's ward with Harrison.
Kathy, anybody would think you hated queues?!
