why do staffies always get the blame?!
I watched a news piece on Daybreak this morning on ITV about a rhodesian ridgeback/staffie cross which had never attacked before, but jumped the fence and attacked the neighbours little boys face an awful story which really upset me, that poor little lad x
What also upset me is the news piece started talking about the whole dangerous dogs thing again and accompanied it with a picture of a white staff in his harness ... I felt it was let's jump on the staff bashing bandWaggon.
Makes me sad our lovely breed gets such a hard time.

Always the same dog gets the blame. never tells the whole story, all we can do is try and represent our breed the best we can. x

I have just been searching for some kind og a link to try and post this here. Can't find one.
I saw it too, they commented on dangerous dogs and the one in particular was a rhodesian ridgeback cross staff, yet every image they shown was of staffies, oh and one rottweiler. No rhodesian ridgeback images in sight!
Such a shame, another lot of bad press for the staffie!

Re: why do staffies always get the blame?!
How on earth would someone know if it was a ridgeback x staffy until the owner knew the "breeder" i swear i think some people just say oh its part staffy to kind of say "it was going to go mad anyway its not that shocking"
i swear it will be banned by next year, which will only make the overpopulation and "macho" dog problem worse. I can tell you now when it does get banned i won't be taking my dog to get murdered because of some stupid tramps that cant look after their dogs!
