How long after having pups should the mum lose bloody/brown discharge?

my sister in laws jrt stopped at about 6 weeks but im not sure with staffs

Thats what i was told between 4-8 weeks depending on size of litter, but Cassie has been losing it for 9 weeks now on and off and its not like she had a large litter. Vets i think
