Good Boy Lemmy Empty Good Boy Lemmy

Took the rubbish out to the bin earlier and as Lemmy was at the bottom of the garden I didnt shut the gate at the back of me. The bin is only 3 feet from the gate but it was still enough for him to get out at the back of me. He ran down the drive and started on up the road. Our front is on a main road so you can imagine the panic. I shouted him but he just seemed to keep going then all of a sudden he turned round and came back to me. I thought I was gunna have to go all the way up the road before I caught him. Good boy. First time for everything and was I releived it was then. So the moral of the story is the dogs move faster than you think. In 3 feet the dog can move 5 times as fast as we can so make sure you shut the gate every time even if it just to go to the otherside of it and back.

Scary! They can move so quickly at times.

Well done on the recall!

So glad he came back and was unhurt Smile

We also live on a main road which is really busy, and my previous staffy Henry got out when he was a puppy and ran straight into the road! Luckily all the cars stopped but he didnt half cause a traffic jam until I was able to run and scoop him up into my very relieved arms!
