Another newbie
hi
thought it best to say hello as its only polite.
we have owned staffies for nearly 12 years now and i have to say up untill now i have never seen a bad side to them.
we currently have 2 male's one 3 years and one 1 year old , unfortunately the younger one of the two has started to become a little tempremental with the older one so we are in the unfortunate position of trying to keep them apart whilst we try to re home him. Im hoping to find some hints and tips on the site to help us in our predicament

HI and welcome to the forum.
Sounds like a classic case of dominance. Sounds like the younger staffy is looking to increase his position in the pecking order.
The younger one is also at the age of pushing boundries. Just out of intrest have any of them been neutered?

Having two boys or 2 girls for that matter can and usually is very hard work. There might not be any need to rehome the younger one but it will take alot of hard work from you. You need to make sure that all dogs are very clear about the pecking order in the pack ie you are top and they are all under you. Any unwanted behavoir from any dog needs to be nipped in the bud and they need to be removed from the room untill calm and then let back in and to be continued untill they get the idea. Always separate the males when u are not around to supervise them as fights can break out over very little and very quickly. As already said i would defo advice that they are both neutered if not done already as with the amount of testosterone fliying about both their bodies u are just asking for trouble lol

it dont make a difference if they are related, dogs don't comprehend the fact that they are brother or sister, mother daughter and so on, they just know the fact that their part of a pack
