milly head size
Im sorry i may have mentioned this before. But im rather worried about the size off millys head she is growing lovely Bodily wise she is filling out lovely but her head still looks kind of small compared to her body. When we had her out for a walk today some drunk or drugged up chavs was standing around and has we got closer to them one bent down to stroke her and the first thing he said was she has a small head doesnt she so him saying that has made me More worried now the vets have never said anything about her head size.Looking around on the forum gallery at the other dogs they all look like they have heads in proption to there bodies. At what age do there heads stop growing milly is now 7 months old

She has another year all so of developing to go. Give it time. Males tend to have a more defined head also. Xx

Re: milly head size
As Janey says, they don't stop growing/filling out till they're about 18 months/2 years.
Also, females don't normally have such large heads as males.

Really, dont worry, they go through such weird growing spurts, one day they are leggy, then they look dumpy, and in my experience the head is normally VERY slow to develope, and at only 7mths nothing substantial will have happened head wise anyway especially with a girl it'll be fine!

Re: milly head size
Violet is just a wee bit younger than Milly, and she has a wee pin head compared to her body. It doesn't look so bad when she's standing, but when she sits down, her bum looks massive and her head tiny

Haha!!! Honestly hubby was embaressed to take kaos out for a while, he went through the weirdest looking stage!! His body had filled right out (and he was a bit on the chunkier sife at the time) his bum and back legs looked huge compared to his tiny thin head.....he got better though haha dont worry!

She's just growing at her own pace, she's a beauty no matter how big or small her head is!

Re: milly head size
Ive found the head is usually the last thing to broaden out, usually they dont start to widen til about 1.5years. also remember that a lot of the bulk of the head is made up of muscle and Milly hasn't had a chance to chomp enough to gain that muscle at 7 months! Also she isn't pedigree so probably wont look exactly like the big square-headed dogs you are used to seeing.

Awww bless... I wish Vlad's head was smaller LOL... Little bugger nearly knocks me over when he come crashing into me head first! Milly is gorgeous. Don't stress, like humans, I guess all dogs in all breeds come in different shapes and sizes.
