Beware the Terriers
We were over at our local park earlier this evening with Rocky on his short lead. We saw lots of people with dogs in one area of the park and went over to say hello.
There was a lady there with 2 SBT (both muzzled) and a Jack Russel Terrier all running loose, another lady with 2 Jack Russels one on a lead.
One JRT growled at Rocky so we walked away. The other JRT then came over and had a go at Rocky too. The 2 SBT then came over too. The male SBT managed to get his muzzle off and had a go at Rocky (Hubby managed to get him away). Then female SBT had a go when Rocky decided to get hold of her ear. He just held but didn't bite in. He was very restrained considering 4 dogs having a go.
When we got home we noticed that Rocky had at least 2 wounds to his neck.
We are very proud of our little soldier today for being well behaved.

Re: Beware the Terriers
Oh dear that was awful, glad rocky was so well behaved.
On Saturday when I was walking Billy 2 jack russells one on an extended lead and another off lead both growled and snarled at Billy, luckily Billy was on a short lead and I had plenty of treats.
I hate them snappy trouble making dogs, I think the owners don't bother with training them cause they are so small

Re: Beware the Terriers
if the dogs ere muzzled then the owners obviously know they hvae problems so why the hell were they off lead why were any of their dogs off lead. drives me mad that if you have a good dog you have to keep it on a lead to keep it safe cos idiots let theirs go and run riot and misbehave

Re: Beware the Terriers
Makes me so mad, I hate people like this. Their dogs have 0% recall and they let them off anyway not worrying about the trauma they could cause anyone elses dogs. I would never let me dogs off unless they had 100% recall. I know my girls can be DA if provoked but thats why I've worked so long and hard at their recall. Now even if faced with a dog snarling and raising their hackles they will come strait back to me when called, I wouldn't run the risk unless I was 100% sure, its these people that ruin it for the rest of us, and ruin all our careful socialisation when their dog attacks yours. Lol, rant over!
