I think so there last excercise was a thirty mile tab and due to weather and 6 inches of mud took them 20 hours through the night the man in front had night vision goggles and saw the hyennas following them so they changed to live fire and when they finished they all fell down exhausted the hyennas dragged him into the bush so quick good job they were armed and heard him scream. My boy said they cleaned him up and cause there back in civilisation he gone back to england early for treatment but has some really nasty bite wounds on both legs it all happened so fast. Loads of them have trench foot he cant wait to get home and have a good meal and a rest he says its been a really hard tour and he will go to the zoo next time Smile

Hyennas can be a very nasty bunch, espically if they sneak up on you at night. Is your son in the military?

Great news that your "boy" will be home again soon. It must be hard when they go away, wondering how they are and if they are safe.

Hope the bloke who was bitten recovers well from the ordeal.

Not easy finding jobs nowadays. Do the army help them, I know they used to?
