Hello from a Staffy fosterer
Hello!
My name is Dan, I foster dogs for local animal charities. I've fostered about 9 Staffordshire Bull Terriers so far, we have a Staffy cross with us at the moment called Tess - you can see a video of her on my channel youtube.com/natureclip
We help to manage any behaviour issues to increase their chances of being re-homed (Staffy's are the easiest breed to train, they respond really well to affection alone). I'll be putting up a couple of training videos on my channel showing what has worked for me over the years. Got one up now on meal time training.
Like all of you, I adore Staffys - I get quite annoyed when they face discrimination by the media. I've made a video on the 'staffy status cycle' which I will put up if that is allowed? I'm pretty active in fighting this sort of misconception. Either informing people on a one-to-one when they are talking about dogs or calling up newspapers when they are being misleading. Ever noticed how when they talk about an 'attack' in the media they assume they are a "bull breed" or show a picture of a Staffy when reporting an increase in 'attacks'.
Anyway, enough ranting. I'll get some pics up of the dogs I've fostered over the years and some videos telling their stories if you are interested.
All the best
Dan
