Imaging my surprise!!
After reading on here a few times about “Dog Parks” and such I have searched the Internet to see if there is any close to home for me. Being from Dundee I have lots of hills and stuff around, like the Law Hill and the Sid Laws however Frank is getting bigger and is needing more of a walk these days and I work full time so getting to these areas was always going to prove to be a bit of an issue.
However my auntie was down last week with her daughter who really badly wanted to take Frank for a walk, unfortunately I don’t really want other people walking Frank I’d rather it was limited to me, my parents and 1 of my brothers, not for any reason other than Franks safety.
So I decided WE would take a little walk down to the water front of my little village (where I used to “hang out” as a teenager) however it has all been changed.
When we got there, there is a little walk with NATURE PARK TRAIL on it …. OMG I WAS EXCITED … it’s a 5 mile round walk (we haven’t even covered a little bit of it) but it’s a security area, with two rows of fairly high fences complete with chicken wire to keep the dogs in the trail so they cant wander down to the water or run anywhere out side of the walk but they have the little hills to run on!! AND ITS ON MY FRONT DOOR!! I’ve lived here for 15 years and I never even noticed it being made!!
There aren’t any lights, and its getting darker at nights so Frank now as a little light on his collar and I’ve bought the biggest torch I could find, and we walk a little bit of it each night!! He loves it!!
I broke my camera, but finally payday so new one bought an I will be taken photos next time my boy gets to play in his favourite place!!! I think what makes it so much better is the other dog walkers who are there are super nice and friendly!!!
Ohhh how I look forward to our mud, normal wet walks now

Re: Imaging my surprise!!
Oh is that the bit along from the waste/composting site? I won't be able to take the dogs there until next summer as i have no transport until after 6pm.Can you park down there?.
Yesterday i turned right instead of left on my usual walk along the river and the dogs found an area of reed beds, had great fun leaping like gazelles through the grass and popped out the other end sparkling clean, even their collars were polished

Re: Imaging my surprise!!
Yea beside there, its all behind it, where the horses and Highland cows are kept. Not so much, you could park in Invergowrie or beside the skips and enter the walk at either side!! I was so excited when I found it!!
Oh Lucky you, Frank loves nothing more than rolling in a muddy puddle!! His little white paws are brown after every walk!! I have just invested in some Doggy Wipes, just like baby wipes but for dogs lol they work wonders in my house just now lol.
