I have a litter of 7 currently 4 weeks old. I use Advance Puppy Plus Rehydratable soaked in warm water. Vet reccommended this as a good dry weaning food. Puppys love it!

This is our first litter so I am still learning also!

For weaning I did as above, mashed a good quality dry puppy food with lactol and warm water. Also had a bit of wet nature's diet down and rice pudding. Lots of soft things that they could try and make a mess with, as they approached weeks 5-6 I began giving them some harder food to eat. Kibbles with just a little warm water soaked in, sardines and chicken wings were always a hit. If you want to wean them onto kibble though I would start by mashing it with a puppy milk or lactol and water then gradually harden it up by adding less water. By 7-8weeks they should eat a puppy kibble almost dry though lots of people still add a bit of water to help their tiny teeth!
