well i like to knit and crochet and my sister is a wizz with a sewing machine and jewellery making and Gemma makes scrolls with animals and names on so when the local church did a charity table top sale we knew exactly what to do. The tables were £10 each or £5 and a cake so we split the price of the table for £5 and Gemma made a cake that they sold in the tea room on the day for 50p per slice (yes we had to buy a slice of my our cake) the sale went well and we enjoyed it and have done another few since but there are no more now till next summer probably. its something to do on a saturday morning and it kept me busy making the stuff when i was laid up with my back. i drove gemma mental sending her to the wool shop though Smile i even made all the kids in the family a blanket for christmas and made gemma a massive bedspread. the big blankets arent worth making to sell though cos they cost a lot and take a long time to make

am in the mood for bragging about me today not the dog Big Grin gemmas bedspread took a month to make and used £28 worth of wool. patricks (jayden got the same) took 2 weeks to make the squares and sew them together then another few days to sew the characters on (total about £35 for wool and patches) Millie's took about £10 for wool and about 10 days to make. she loved the little pockets with the animals in. I made for 9 kids and gemma last christmas. wool has gone up now though with VAT rise. it used to be £1 now its £1.10 for a 100gram ball
