A couple of REALLY old pics.....
In this one I'm about 3 or 4 years old!
I'm on the right at about 13 years old (the other girl's my sister) - what a cheesy pose!
I'm about 15 or 16 in this one. The dog in the background is the first dog I ever had - Zena the Working Sheepdog.

Your 3 years younger than my Mum. She still has an original 'Twiggy' dress that she still won't let me nick!

Re: A couple of REALLY old pics.....
My sister sent them to me at the weekend. Brought back some memories, I can tell you!
No idea why she suddenly decided to let me have them, we haven't spoken for about 2 years & that was only because she wrote to tell me her long time partner had died.
We fell out before my mum died & words were said afterwards that made it difficult to keep in touch, so maybe this is her way of breaking the ice.

I hope so, what a nice memory.
Haven't spoken to my sister really since Dad died 11 years ago. Been really hard because she has 2 new babies, and I have 2 new nephews.
I hope one day she could send me photos like that but I doubt it.
Take it as an olive branch, lifes to short. Xx

Re: A couple of REALLY old pics.....
I know. Harsh words were said after my dad died & then my mum wouldn't acknowledge my son - when I took the two kids round to see her she'd fuss my daughter & ignore my son so I stopped going round.
When mum died, my sister dredged that up & then I dredged up my sister's history with drugs etc & it got a bit heated. It didn't help to find out that not only was my sister the executor of my mum's will, but that she was also the only beneficiary. I got nothing, not even some pics.

Yes, the jeans are really something! The jacket I'm leaning on in the last pic was my pride & joy! I wore it everywhere!

Seriously life is too short to hold grudges things are said in the heat of the moment its silly to let them come inbetween you both.

Re: A couple of REALLY old pics.....
great photos!!..memories...
I LOVED the Bay City Rollers..especially Woody and Eric..
Went to see them when they came to Australia back in the 70's..my friend Helen went crazy screaming and crying and carrying on like a pork chop..the ambos dragged her off as she was getting hysterical..and she missed the whole concert!
I remember I got a hiding because I cut up my good tartan skirt trying to make a pair of roller strollers!!
..the worse is yet to come.. I went to see the Bay City Rollers about 8 years ago when they came to Western Australia..ripped off though as it was only the lead singer Les..the rest were all new people. He autographed one of my many record albums I still have of theirs.. and yes I still play my records!!

I agree to an extent, but we've never been close. She caused a LOT of heartache to my mum & dad when she was in her teens/early twenties - really gut-wrenching heartache. I used to witness my dad crying his eyes out over the latest escapade. That cuts deep to a 15/16 year old. Then to find that my mum had cut me out of her will.......that was hard to take.

Maybe, maybe not. I've written & thanked her & sugested that maybe we could meet up in town for a coffee or something.....we'll see.

Lovely pics My family arent close, the last few years we got back in touch but really I only see my dad and brother if I make contact with them.
I remember my mum being so mad at how I dressed (and that I was rebelling a little bit too much) she cut up all my clothes when I was 16. Now when she looks back she loves that I dressed differently lol
