Can someone answer me this question when we had milly spayed. They had shaved a small patch on the top of her head.It seems to be taking ages for it to grow back,We would have asked the vet but we didnt notice it until we Had got her home.My son and oh took her back for the stiches checked but they said they felt too embarresed to ask why her head had been shaved.I would have asked if i had taken her

No idea. Lexi didn't have one. I can't imagine any reason at all for it tbh?

When Dempsey had his anaesthetics (3 times, poor lad!) they shaved a spot on his leg for the intravenous, but not his head! Can't think why they did that. I'd ask if I were you.

In the years I worked in a vet surgery I have never seen or heard of a shaven head. They should only have shaved her belly, and her foreleg. I ould definately ring the vets and ask why!

a vet will have a place ready on a dogs body for a canula just incase it is needed as no procedure is 100% safe they always prepare for for a bad situation maybe the vein in her head would have been easier to get to in an energency. just a guess but its all i can think of

Not normally on the head, but I suppose it's possible.
