sun newspaper today
Just come across a appaling video on the sun newspaper website its so so sad its a video a neighbour has taken from his landing window of a neighbour beating his staffy,These sick people must get some sick kick out of it,Even the small child is egging the father on and then a woman comes out with a towel on her head and seems to whip the staffy with something. The neighbour who filmed it put it on a website and also the address of the sick folk and Angry mobs went to the house bricking there windows etc.The poor dog has now been taken by the rspca. And probley will be traumatised now the rest of its life. Some people must be born evil

Re: sun newspaper today
Is that the one in Grimsby?
He's been charged with 2 counts of animal cruelty. Hopefully a staffy rescue will take the dog away from the RSPCA.

Re: sun newspaper today
I won't watch it but i saw some pics. It's appaling, and now the camera man is being prosecuted for disturbing the peace.
It's times like this i wish staffys live up to that supposed "aggrsive" nature and rip that mans hand off. But in typical staffy form they just roll over and take it. Such an unpredictable aggressive breed huh!

Unbelievable! Unfortunately I don't think the police had any option, as he did disturb the peace by posting the film. HOWEVER, they will have to send details to the prosecution service who, I should think, will come back & say that prosecution is not in the public interest!

Re: sun newspaper today
They don't care about public interest they care about doing whatever they feel like cause they can. There are so many silly laws that are upheld to the strictest degree then major ones that are just skipped. I don't know who picks judges but they certainly don't have to pass a psychological test!

Re: sun newspaper today
I watched it and for those of you that wont or don't think you can, you don't see violence directly towards the dog till the last few seconds an they've blurred that image.
Still, it does my head in that there are A'holes out there treating a poor innocent dog this way. What sort of living conditions was the dog expected to live in on the balcony in the first place...?
Please explain to me why you get a dog if that is all you can offer it
Lucky for the moron owner I don't live in the same country

Re: sun newspaper today
just watched it and had tears in my eyes for the poor little thing, just wanted love!
why get a dog if you dont want it around!!!
good on the guy filming for doing what he did to get some attention to it as it seems previous reporting of the cruelty went unactioned!

He is apparently in court on 10th November I can only hope the judge gives him what he deserves, but then with our judicial system who knows ???

It'll have nothing to do with the judges! It'll be the CPS who will look through the police report & decide if it's worth prosecuting, and I doubt they'll want to waste their money on a prosecution. The standard response when they don't want to go ahead but want to save face is "not in the public interest!"

10th November, but you can bet he'll get a police escort to the court!

Re: sun newspaper today
£500 fine and banned for keeping animals for a year. But I guess he is on benifits, so, hay ho, not a lot will happen at all really and the scum can do it again.

Re: sun newspaper today
The most upsetting thing about that video is the way the dog cowers as the door opens, knowing what is coming to him Even after being struck numerous times all he wants do in true staffie nature is go inside and be a great friend. Hopefully the dog will get rehomed to people that will love him as he looks like a nice dog.
